NARAKAS Annual Award Ceremony Held Under Chairmanship of SJVN

The Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee (NARAKAS), Shimla (Office-2), chaired by SJVN Limited, organized its Annual Rajbhasha Award Ceremony and half-yearly meeting at the SJVN premises today. The event was attended by Executive Director (HR), SJVN, Chandra Shekhar Yadav; Joint Director (Implementation), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Kumar Pal Sharma; and General Manager (Rajbhasha), SJVN, Ashish Pant.
During the meeting, member offices demonstrating exemplary performance in the implementation of Hindi were honoured with NARAKAS Rajbhasha Shields. The awards were presented by Executive Director (HR) Chandra Shekhar Yadav. Based on the number and category of offices, awards were distributed across three groups—government offices & financial institutions, public sector undertakings, and banks.
First prizes were awarded to SJVN Limited, Life Insurance Corporation of India, and Punjab National Bank.
Second prizes went to REC, Himalayan Forest Research Institute, and Central Bank of India, while Indian Oil Corporation (Indane), Regional Provident Fund Commissioner’s Office, and UCO Bank received third prizes. Encouragement awards were presented to Indian Oil Corporation Retail Division, Chief General Manager Telecom Circle, New India Insurance Company, Central Public Works Department, Reserve Bank of India, and Union Bank.
On this occasion, Executive Director (HR) Chandra Shekhar Yadav also released the fourth edition of the Rajbhasha house magazine “Himsamvad”, published by SJVN to promote creativity and Hindi usage across member offices.
In his address, Yadav appreciated the efforts of all member offices and encouraged them to continue increasing the use of Hindi in official work. Senior officials of SJVN and heads of NARAKAS member institutions were present.
