Nand Lal Sharma Inspires New Appointees at SJVN

Shimla,  Sept. 9: Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of SJVN (Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited), addressed the new appointees of the company during the Management Employee Connect Program held in Shimla. This program is part of a series of innovative initiatives introduced by Sharma to motivate and energize SJVN employees to achieve higher targets.

The main objectives of this interactive program were to inspire and encourage the employees to contribute to SJVN’s mission of generating 12,000 MW of power by 2026 and the shared vision of becoming a 50,000 MW company by 2040. The event, which took place at Hotel Peterhoff in Shimla, was attended by approximately 350 employees who had been recruited during the current and previous financial years.

The event was graced by the presence of senior officers of SJVN, including Smt. Geeta Kapur (Director of Personnel), Sh. Akhileshwar Singh (Director of Finance), Sh. Sushil Sharma (Director of Electrical), and other senior officials. Additionally, Sh. Simarjeet Singh, an internationally renowned motivational speaker, conducted an interactive session with the employees.

During his address, Nand Lal Sharma emphasized the importance of thinking innovatively in order to achieve significant breakthroughs. He encouraged employees to tap into their intellectual abilities and creative potential to build successful careers in the highly competitive world. Sh. Sharma also reflected on the remarkable growth journey of SJVN, which started as NJPC in 1988 to develop the 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Project and has since expanded its portfolio to over 56,000 MW.

Sh. Sharma highlighted that in the past five years, SJVN had been awarded numerous projects in India, with approximately 80 projects in various stages of development. He expressed his confidence in Team SJVN’s dedication and their commitment to achieving the shared vision of reaching 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040.

Moreover, Sh. Sharma emphasized that to reach these ambitious targets, Team SJVN, with its young talent, must be determined to overcome all challenges. He urged all employees to give their best efforts in completing their assigned tasks and praised the staff’s perseverance, emphasizing that SJVN is well on its way to realizing its shared vision with everyone’s collective efforts and accelerated progress.

The event also featured Simarjeet Singh, an accomplished international motivational speaker and performance coach, who has inspired audiences worldwide to accelerate their personal and professional growth while pursuing fulfilling careers.
