Mushroom Cultivation Training for Women Begins at RSETI Hamirpur

Hamirpur, September 11 – A 10-day training camp on mushroom cultivation for women began at the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Mattansidh, Hamirpur. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Povinder Thakur, Deputy Head, Circle Office of Punjab National Bank.

Addressing participants, Thakur emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship over job-seeking, highlighting that women can run small ventures from home while balancing daily responsibilities, thus generating employment for themselves and others.

RSETI Director Ajay Katna welcomed the chief guest and shared the institute’s ongoing efforts to encourage self-employment. He informed that RSETI regularly organizes free training camps, providing participants with accommodation, meals, uniforms, stationery, and other essentials.

The inaugural session was also attended by PNB Manager Mehar Singh, Financial Literacy Advisor G.C. Bhatti, faculty member Vinay Chauhan, and other officials.
