“MURIOUS 18.0”: Marks Resounding Success in Tech Excellence and Innovation At JUIT

The annual three-day tech fest, “MURIOUS 18.0,” at Jaypee University of Information Technology concluded on a triumphant note, underscoring the collaborative efforts of faculty coordinator Dr. Naveen Jaglan and student coordinators from Jaypee Youth Club (JYC). The dynamic fabric of “MURIOUS” comprised a diverse range of solo and collaborative competitions organized by ACM JUIT, IEEE, CEC JUIT, TIEDC, SYNAPSE, and the Tech Club of JYC. Notably, Expanse 3.0, a Bio-Hackathon, served as the flagship event under the supervision of esteemed faculty coordinators Prof. Shruti Jain, Dr. Hemant Sood, and Prof. Tiratha Raj Singh.

In the solo competitions, winners emerged in various categories, including Picture Perfect, Code Caos, Interface Invent, Frame By Frame, 3 Days 3 Designs, Make It Print, WEB-O-FIESTA, and Code Cleanse. Esports witnessed fierce competition with champions crowned in TEKKEN, BGMI Deathmatch, BGMI Battle Royale, FIFA, and Valorant.

Collaborative events with other clubs saw winners in Code Rumble (IEEE), BRIDGE MAKING (CEC), and Storage Wars (TIEDC).

The pinnacle of the fest, the bio-hackathon ‘MURIOUS Expanse,’ drew 18 teams with 78 participants. Team Pokemon Go secured the top prize, followed by Team Bio-mancer in second place and Team BOB The Builder in third.

The festivities concluded with a prize distribution ceremony graced by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Kumar Sharma and HOD of CSE Department Dr. Vivek Kumar Sehgal. Esteemed faculty members from various departments, including Dr. Amit Shrivastava, Dr. Vikas Bhagel, and Dr. Neena Jindal, joined to encourage and recognize the exceptional talents and achievements of the students.

Following the ceremony, the cultural extravaganza “SYNCROTRON” took center stage, featuring captivating performances by Theatre, F-society, Apocalypse, Nati, and Bhangra, adding an extra layer of vibrancy to the event.

In essence, “MURIOUS 18.0” not only provided a platform for showcasing academic excellence, technical skills, and talent but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among students, faculty, and staff. The event’s success stands as a shining example of what can be achieved through collective effort and unwavering determination.
