Multiple Contributions Strengthen Himachal’s Disaster Relief Efforts

Shimla, August 14 — Principal Accountant General (Accounts and Entitlement), Shimla, Sushil Thakur, on behalf of the officers and employees of the office, presented a cheque of ₹5,01,000 to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu towards the Disaster Relief Fund. The Chief Minister appreciated the gesture, highlighting that the state government is taking innovative measures to ensure transparency and provide prompt public services, with a special focus on digitalization.

MLA Harish Janartha, DAG Sandeep Dawar, President of the Civil Audit Association Ashish Kumar, General Secretary Akshay Chauhan, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

In separate contributions, Congress leader Jeevan Thakur handed over a cheque of ₹1,56,101, while Dr. Shweta Dogra presented ₹25,000 on behalf of the Himachal Pradesh Dental Health Services and Welfare Committee, Baijnath, District Kangra. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude, stating these contributions would aid in providing timely assistance to those in need.

Meanwhile, newly appointed Member of the Board of Directors of HIMFED, Sachin Barwal, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister at Shimla.
