Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has expressed profound sorrow on the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, a renowned economist and senior Congress leader, who breathed his last at the age of 92 at AIIMS in Delhi yesterday late evening.
Mukesh Agnihotri hailed Dr.Manmohan Singh as the architect of India’s economic reforms. As a Finance Minister from 1991-96, Dr. Manmohan Singh charted a new course for India’s economic policy, and later, as Prime Minister from 2004-14, his initiatives propelled India’s development and elevated its status among the world’s top economies.
The Deputy Chief Minister praised Dr. Manmohan Singh’s unwavering commitment to high ideals throughout his political career, earning him a place among India’s most esteemed leaders. Mukesh Agnihotri offered prayers to the Almighty for the peace and solace of Dr.Manmohan Singh’s soul.
