Shimla, Dec 31 : Shimla is set to witness a rare blend of enterprise and culture as MSME Fest 2026 takes over the iconic Ridge Maidan from January 3 to 5, 2026. Organised by the Department of Industries, Government of Himachal Pradesh, the festival places micro, small and medium enterprises at the core—while letting music and cultural performances acknowledge the spirit of the hills.

Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) R. D. Nazeem said the fest reflects the “Local to Global” vision, bringing together entrepreneurship, innovation and cultural expression. Curated Star Music Nights will add rhythm to discussions on investment, self-reliance and growth.

The opening evening on January 3 will feature Punjabi music star Gary Sandhu, followed by Chamba-born folk vocalist Piyush Raj and cultural troupes from Sirmaur, Hamirpur, Mandi and Chamba, blending popular appeal with regional authenticity.

On January 4, celebrations will span multiple venues. Ghazal singer Surendra Khan will perform at Peterhof, while the Ridge hosts hill artistes including Indian Idol alumnus Nitin from Kangra, Saurav Attri, Shimla-based folk singer Hemant Sharma, Geeta Bhardwaj, Jatin Kumar and Jyoti. Cultural groups from Kinnaur, Kullu, Kangra and Shimla will present traditional performances.

Alongside music, entrepreneurs and startups from across Himachal Pradesh will showcase products ranging from handloom and handicrafts to food processing innovations, agri-based solutions and emerging tech ventures. Director Industries Dr. Yunus said the fest aims to promote youth-led enterprise, expand market access for local products and encourage investment dialogue.

As winter settles over Shimla, MSME Fest 2026 promises to turn the Ridge into a vibrant space where culture complements commerce—telling a story of Himachal Pradesh where tradition, ambition and opportunity come together.
