Mandi, August 28: During his tour of Himachal Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while praising local cuisine, didn’t hesitate to reiterate that Himachal Pradesh is his second home. Today, this home is completely devastated due to a major disaster, yet the Prime Minister hasn’t uttered a single word. Congress Member of Parliament from the Mandi constituency, Pratibha Singh, expressed her disappointment while interacting with the media. Prior to this, she had visited the disaster-affected areas in Nachan.

Pratibha Singh stated that the Congress party hoped that during this time of distress, the Prime Minister would pay attention to his second home. However, the fact that the Prime Minister didn’t say a word about Himachal Pradesh is deeply saddening for everyone. On this occasion, she also alleged improper hill cutting during the construction of foreign and national highways in the state. She emphasized that due to incorrect hill cutting during the construction of these roads, the heavy rainfall is causing landslides and destruction. The consequences of this faulty hill cutting are also being borne by the people living around these areas.

It’s worth noting that MP Pratibha Singh visited the Nachan Assembly constituency in Mandi district to meet those affected by the disaster. During this visit, she assured the affected families of all possible assistance from the government. On Monday, she is set to visit various areas including Kamaund, Katola, Baggi, Tihri, Rahla, Ropa, Jhiri, Nagwain, Takoli, Panarsa, Aut, Thalout, and Larji Power House.
