MP Harsh Mahajan Condemns False Allegations Against BJP National President JP Nadda
2 min readShimla, June 23 : BJP Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan has criticized Congress leader Bambar Thakur for his baseless allegations against BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda. Mahajan stated that Thakur is attempting to tarnish Nadda’s image to divert attention from his own criminal activities and controversies.
Mahajan pointed out that the police, administration, and the public have recognized Bambar Thakur as the mastermind behind the Bilaspur shooting incident, with his son being a key accomplice. Given these facts, questioning the involvement of Thakur and his son is unnecessary. Thakur’s attempts to defame JP Nadda are baseless and far from the truth.
According to Mahajan, Thakur’s efforts to malign Nadda’s reputation are a desperate move to clean his own tainted image. The public is aware of Thakur’s criminal background, and his efforts to mislead them will not succeed. Mahajan emphasized that the social and criminal issues in Bilaspur have been primarily due to Thakur’s actions. Thakur is allegedly involved in various organized crimes, including mining, drug trafficking, honor killings, smuggling, and hooliganism, with over 30 criminal cases against him.
Mahajan highlighted a statement by Bilaspur SP Vivek Chahal, confirming that Bambar Thakur’s son, Puranjan, had applied for bail in the High Court, which was denied. The police consider Puranjan the main accused in the Bilaspur shooting case and are actively searching for him. Another suspect, Gaurav, was arrested in connection with the incident, revealing that shooter Sunny Gill had been staying at Gaurav’s father’s official residence since June 15. During interrogation, Gill named Thakur’s son as involved in the crime, further strengthening the case against Thakur.
The BJP demands strict and swift action against the culprits. Mahajan asserted that the Congress leaders have disrupted the peaceful environment of Himachal Pradesh with their actions, leading to unprecedented violence in the state. He urged the administration and government to expedite the legal proceedings to ensure justice is served.
