Chamba, Oct 9 – The mortal remains of Prithvi Singh, a resident of Tiwari village in the Salooni development block of Chamba, have been brought back to India from the United States 30 days after his death. The body was flown to India from Delhi Airport and will be cremated on Tuesday.

Prithvi Singh had married Candy, a resident of Kandy, in 2017 and settled in the United States. He was employed in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately, Prithvi Singh passed away in a road accident on September 9th. His wife informed his family in India about the tragic incident, and the family had been requesting the authorities to repatriate his body.

Prithvi Singh’s cousin, Prem Lal Gautam, mentioned that the deceased’s body had arrived at Delhi Airport and was subsequently transported to his ancestral village through an ambulance. The final rites will take place in his native village.

This repatriation process was facilitated to fulfill the family’s wishes to perform the last rites in their homeland.
