Modi Government Sanctions ₹309 Crore for 21 Bridges in Himachal: Anurag

Himachal Pradesh, April 3, 2025 – Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for approving ₹309 crore under PMGSY-3 for 21 bridges in Himachal Pradesh.

Thakur highlighted Modi’s commitment to the state’s development, emphasizing that these bridges will significantly improve connectivity in rural areas, benefiting farmers, orchardists, traders, and the general public. He noted that approvals include bridges in Hamirpur, Bhoraanj, Touni Devi, Pragpur, and other regions.

He further stated that under PMGSY-3, Hamirpur will get six bridges, Kangra seven, Kullu two, Lahaul-Spiti five, and Mandi one. Thakur also recalled past approvals, including 16,206 houses under the rural housing scheme and ₹2,373 crore for 2,700 km of roads in disaster-affected areas.
