Police Confirm No Foul Play
Shimla, February 27: Demonstrating swift and sensitive action, Shimla Police safely recovered a 14-year-old girl within two hours of receiving a missing complaint at Deha Police Station. The complaint was filed by her mother, a resident of Theog subdivision, stating that the minor had left home without informing anyone on February 25.
Acting promptly, police teams initiated a search operation and traced the girl to Kokunala in Kotkhai, where she was found staying at her elder sister’s residence. She was brought to the police station and subsequently handed over to her mother after completing legal formalities.
During inquiry, it emerged that the minor had left home as she wished to continue her studies, while her family was facing constraints in supporting her education. Police confirmed that no criminal activity was involved in the matter. The timely recovery highlights the district police’s commitment to rapid response and child safety.
