Minister Yadvinder Goma and Kewal Singh Pathania Respond to Jai Ram Thakur’s Employment Allegations

Youth Services and Sports Minister Yadvinder Goma and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania condemned the recent statements by Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, accusing the present government of depriving youth of employment opportunities. They highlighted the creation of 31,000 jobs in just 20 months and the declaration of results for multiple posts previously halted due to alleged corruption during the BJP regime.

The ministers emphasized the government’s efforts to improve education, including the sanctioning of 7,000 teaching positions and the recruitment of lecturers and principals. Additionally, initiatives like the Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgaar Start-up Yojana-2023 were launched to boost self-employment among the youth.

They also criticized Jai Ram Thakur for burdening the state’s economy with unplanned institutions and freebies during his tenure, leading to a financial crisis. The current government has taken steps to rectify the situation, generating an additional ₹2,200 crore in revenue and clearing pension arrears for elderly pensioners.
