Mimansa’s Second Day : Six Sessions Held

On the second day of the three-day Children’s Literature Festival organized by the Department of Language and Culture and Kikli Charitable Trust, a total of six sessions were conducted.

In the first session, Ridhima, Aryan Sharma, Aryan Varma, and Anjali Thakur shared their thoughts on the significant aspects of the book “Memorable Memories of Bhutan” written by Dr. Jayvanti Dimri. Dr. Anshul Kaushal moderated this session.

The second session featured a review of the book “Bagamoo Ki Su” by the renowned author from the state, Shrinivas Joshi. Students from Himachal Pradesh University and Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya, including Prachi Kaushal, Priyanka, Vibhuti, and Sneha, discussed and posed questions on the 12 stories published in the author’s book. Renowned critic and author Vidya Nidhi Chhabra moderated this session.

The third session hosted a poetry reading, chaired by former administrative officer and author AR Bharti. During this session, Mannat, Aabha Sharma, Tanya Roch, Sneha, Pranshul, Saksham Sharma, Aditya, Anmol Sharma, Bhavya, Neha, Vrahi, and Prajwal Sharma presented their self-composed poems.

The fourth session featured discussions on the poems published in the book “Aaina” by the state’s renowned storyteller and poet Ranjodh Singh. Shagun, Prachi, and Shubham Kumar provided their comments on the poems published in the book. Young literary enthusiast Vichalit moderated this session and also shared his critical comments on the poems.

In the fifth session, a special art workshop was organized for children, where they were taught cartooning by the famous artist Uday Shankar and fine art techniques by Dr. Him Chattarjee.

The sixth session included vocabulary competitions, slogan writing, and poster-making contests. Dr. Manju Puri, Dr. Deeplata, Dr. Reeva, and Dr. Himanshu Paramar served as judges for these competitions.
