Meeting Held on Rationalization of Polling Stations in Shimla

Shimla, August 23 – A meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Anupam Kashyap was held with representatives of political parties to discuss the creation of new polling stations and rationalization of existing ones in Shimla district.
Proposals for setting up 6 new polling stations and rationalizing 6 existing ones were discussed. Additionally, 14 polling stations will be shifted to new buildings due to poor infrastructure. Political parties gave their consent to the proposals, which will now be sent to the Chief Electoral Officer for approval before publication.
