Massive Fire Engulfs Nine Houses in Tikkar

A devastating fire broke out in the Tikkar Tehsil of Shimla district, specifically in Daroti village, causing nine houses to be reduced to ashes. The incident occurred late at night on Saturday, and it resulted in significant losses for around 20 families. The estimated damage runs into crores of rupees.
Preliminary investigation suggests that a short circuit may have triggered the fire. It’s reported that one house caught fire, and rapidly, adjacent houses also became engulfed in flames. In the midst of cries for help, people gathered and joined forces to extinguish the fire.
The Fire Brigade was alerted and responded to the scene. After strenuous efforts, the local residents, together with the Fire Brigade, successfully managed to extinguish the fire.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Sunny Sharma, confirmed that a police and administrative team has arrived at the site. Efforts are being made to provide immediate relief to the affected individuals. The Revenue Department’s employees are assessing the extent of the losses and preparing a report. The administration is committed to offering all possible assistance to those affected by this tragic incident.
