Marathon for HIV-AIDS Awareness to be Held in Nahan on 10th September: Dr. Ajay Pathak
1 min readNahan, 09 September: A marathon aimed at raising awareness about the prevention of HIV and AIDS will be organized by the Health Department in Nahan on 10th September 2024. Members of 15 Red Ribbon Clubs from Sirmaur district, along with students from Government Postgraduate College, Nahan, and other institutions, will participate in this “Run Red” marathon. The 3 km run will start from Nahan Chogan at 10 AM, passing through Naya Bazaar and Shamsher Villa Round, and end back at Chogan.
Dr. Ajay Pathak, Chief Medical Officer, Sirmaur, mentioned that this initiative is being conducted under the auspices of the State Health Department and the State AIDS Control Society to promote HIV-AIDS prevention.
Cash Prizes for Marathon Winners – Dr. Veena Sangal
Dr. Veena Sangal, AIDS Control Program Officer, Sirmaur, announced that cash prizes will be awarded to the top participants. The first prize of ₹2500, second prize of ₹2000, and third prize of ₹1500 will be given in both boys’ and girls’ categories. Additionally, consolation prizes will be awarded to four participants. Dr. Veena Sangal has appealed to the public to support the cause and contribute to the success of the event.
