Sundarnagar, September 18: A road accident has occurred near the Garela Bridge on the Sundarnagar-Poudakothi contact road. In this incident, an uncontrolled pickup truck skidded down the road about 50 meters below, resulting in the death of a 38-year-old individual.
According to the information, the accident occurred near the Garela Bridge, where the pickup truck slid down the road about 50 meters below, leading to the death of one person. The incident was reported to a passerby around 4 pm on Sunday, and the information was relayed to the BSL Colony Police Station. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and removed the body of the deceased from the vehicle. The body has been handed over to the relatives after a post-mortem examination. The deceased has been identified as Yashpal, son of Anant Ram, from Garela village in the Sundarnagar district of Mandi. The deceased left behind his wife and three daughters.
ASP Mandi, Sagar Chandra, confirming the incident, stated that the driver’s death occurred due to the pickup truck accident near the Garela Bridge. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
