LR Institute of Management Launches ‘Saksham Bharat’ Initiative

Solan, March 8, 2025 – On the occasion of International Women’s Day, LR Institute of Management launched the ‘Saksham Bharat’ initiative to empower rural women and girls through digital financial literacy.
The project, conceptualized under the guidance of LR Group of Institutes’ Director Shachi Singh and led by Project Director Shweta Sandhu, aims to educate women about digital banking, online transactions, and financial management. MBA students will conduct training sessions to help participants gain financial independence and strengthen their role in society.
The initiative was inaugurated in Sanhol village with the support of Gram Pradhan Kusum Thakur. Around 100 women participated and praised the institute’s efforts.

The program aims to educate 5,400 women and girls this year. By fostering digital financial literacy, the institute is not only imparting technical skills but also laying the foundation for a more empowered society where women can progress with equal opportunities.
