Jawali (Kangra): Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur addressed a BJP organisational meeting and workers’ convention at Kotla Mandal in Jawali Assembly constituency, energising party workers and office-bearers during his Kangra visit.
Thakur stressed that organisational strength, discipline and strategic planning are key to BJP’s success in upcoming elections. He also called for practical political expansion, suggesting that in areas where BJP faces stagnation, the party should consider bringing influential leaders from other parties into the fold to strengthen the winning equation. He warned that BJP is a disciplined organisation and anyone crossing the party’s “line of discipline” would face strict action.
Targeting the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government, Thakur alleged that the last three years have pushed Himachal behind in the development race. He accused the Chief Minister of working with a “revenge mindset” and claimed that the Sukhu government would be remembered more for shutting down institutions created with budget provisions rather than starting new developmental work.
Later, Jai Ram Thakur paid tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary in Jawali, calling his ideals a timeless inspiration for every generation.
