Local Holidays Announced in Kangra District for 2025

Dharamshala, January 13: Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa has announced two local holidays for various subdivisions in the district for the calendar year 2025, following the guidelines of the Himachal Pradesh General Administration Department.
As per the orders, January 14 will be a local holiday for Makar Sankranti in all subdivisions except Dehra. In Dehra, the local holiday will instead be observed on May 5 for the Mata Shri Baglamukhi Janmotsav.
Additionally, subdivisions such as Dharamshala, Kangra, Palampur, Baijnath, Jaisinghpur, Shahpur, Nagrota Bagwan, and Dhera will observe a local holiday on September 16 for Sair Utsav. Meanwhile, subdivisions including Nurpur, Dehra, Jawali, Jwalamukhi, Fatehpur, and Indora will have a local holiday on October 22 for Govardhan Puja.
