Shimla, 9 January 2025: A Loan Day event was organized under the National Rural Livelihood Mission at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Shimla. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap distributed loan sanction letters to Self-Help Group (SHG) women and honored FLCRP/Credit Mobilizers for their efforts.

The event aimed to simplify loan application processes, resolve pending SHG loan issues, and ensure timely loan distribution to eligible groups. Of the target to provide loans to 800 women in the district, 84% has been achieved, with Mashobra, Chohara, Theog, Rampur, and Chopal blocks surpassing their goals.

Deputy Commissioner Kashyap praised SHG women for their ground-level work and directed officials to issue certificates to participants and provide necessary training. Banks and mobilizers were also recognized for their contribution to loan distribution, with the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank securing the first position.

In addition, SHGs engaged in eco-friendly plate-making for temples like Tara Devi and Sankat Mochan were acknowledged for promoting sustainable income generation and women’s empowerment.
