Shimla, Jan 21 : Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has urged Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to provide financial assistance to the family of the late Devaraj Sharma, who reportedly lost his life due to the unavailability of a crucial injection. Thakur highlighted that Sharma was the sole breadwinner for his family, which is now in severe financial distress. His children are still pursuing their education, and his wife also suffers from health issues.

Jairam Thakur requested the CM to take a humanitarian approach and offer every possible support to the grieving family.

In another development, Jairam Thakur paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the PMO in New Delhi. The details of their discussion remain undisclosed, but the meeting signifies an ongoing dialogue between BJP leadership in Himachal Pradesh and the central government.
