Crimes such as substance abuse, theft, murder, and women are increasing rapidly throughout the state.
Shimla: BJP spokesperson Sandeepani Bharadwaj has stated that the law and order situation in Himachal Pradesh is deteriorating day by day. It seems that the state is witnessing jungle raj. Various types of crimes are on the rise in every corner of Himachal Pradesh, becoming a matter of concern for the state.
He mentioned that the series of criminal incidents in the Haroli region is not stopping. After incidents of gunfire and assaults, a youth has now been robbed at knifepoint.
In the Una district, a narcotics business was being conducted near the de-addiction center. This revelation came during the investigation of the death case of an MTech student in Hamirpur. It was found that the police arrested Chitta suppliers connected to Punjab. The youth supplying Chitta in NIT used to transfer money to Karampal’s account in Punjab.
In Kiratpur-Nerchowk Forlane, a secluded area well-known for its quick and convenient assistance for the nightlife, antisocial elements have become active. They tried to stop and rob a moving jeep and car, hitting the glass with a knife.
Sandeepani emphasized that if their words are considered, the series of such incidents will not end.
He stated that against drug addicts and drug peddlers, the police have registered 1,715 cases under the NDPS Act in the state in 9 months this year. Shimla district police is leading in registering cases under the NDPS Act in the entire state. The drug trade is increasing throughout the state, posing a danger to the coming generation. The government needs to take full control over it, which the government has failed to do so far.
He argued that Himachal Pradesh is under a government that is only concerned with happiness and not with sorrow. The state is declining in terms of law and order.
