Larsen & Toubro contributes Rs. 3.5 crore towards CM Relief Fund

A delegation of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today and presented a cheque of Rs. 3.5 crore towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for the contribution and invited the company to explore investment opportunities in Himachal Pradesh. He said that the state government aims to transform Himachal Pradesh into a hub for future technologies, encouraging investment in sectors such as hydropower, food processing, data storage, solar energy and tourism.
He asked the company to consider investments in these sectors, assuring full support from the government in implementing the projects. He also highlighted the state’s new energy policy, which includes provisions for 12, 18 and 30 percent power royalty along-with the return of power projects to the state after 40 years.
Power Secretary Rakesh Kanwar, L&T Board of Director D.K. Singh, Corporate Head R.K. Singh, Branch Manager Jaswant Singh and Deputy General Manager Sachin Rana were also present on the occasion.
