Rohru, August 31 – A landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in Dayar Moli village, Rohru, posed a threat to three houses, forcing the administration to evacuate four families comprising ten members. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rohru, Ramesh Dhamotra, personally supervised the evacuation and arranged safe shelter for the affected families.
Two cows and a sheep were reported buried after two cowsheds collapsed in the incident. Rising water levels in the Shikdi Khad have also created fear among nearby residents. To ensure safety, the administration has set up a shelter home at the Indoor Stadium and appealed to people in need to contact them for assistance.
