The falling debris has also begun to damage the concrete structure above the tunnel. Despite the tunnel being reopened, daily traffic, including thousands of vehicles heading towards Kullu-Manali, faces significant risk.
Local ward councillor Rajendra Mohan emphasized the need for immediate action by the construction company to prevent falling rocks and debris. He warned that the situation poses a constant threat to vehicle drivers, with past incidents already resulting in injuries.
Landslides have also affected the exit lane of the tunnel, increasing the chances of accidents, making it a grave concern for tourists and local commuters alike.
