Sukhu Government’s Days are Numbered, BJP to Form Government Soon: Jairam Thakur
2 min readNalagarh: Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister, Jairam Thakur, expressed disappointment over the Congress government’s 18-month tenure during public meetings in Manjholi and Ramshahar. Praising the enthusiasm for the BJP among the people, Thakur highlighted that two major projects—Bulk Drug Park and Medical Device Park—have been sanctioned by the central BJP government and are being established in Nalagarh with an investment of INR 300 crore. Thakur emphasized that out of three approved projects nationwide, one each was brought to Himachal, showcasing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special affection for the state.
Thakur credited the previous BJP government and the central government for these developmental initiatives. He asserted that the Congress government in the state will not last long and that the BJP will soon form the government, accelerating development once again. Addressing the public, Thakur said that the upcoming by-election is a contest between BJP and Congress, and also between local candidates and outsiders, urging voters to support their local representative.
Jairam Thakur criticized the Sukhu government for its poor performance in just one and a half years. He accused the government of coming to power through false promises and guarantees and relying on lies to stay in power. Thakur claimed that due to these falsehoods, the people of the state have rejected the Sukhu government, giving the BJP a lead in 61 out of 68 seats. He mentioned that even in the Chief Minister’s constituency, there was no lead. In the Lok Sabha elections, the Chief Minister lost in his constituency, Nadaun. Thakur concluded that the people of Himachal Pradesh have rejected the anti-people policies and the incompetent government of Sukhu.
