L.R. Group of Institutes Hosts Young Climate Champions Session to Foster Youth Climate Leadership

Solan, March 7, 2026: L.R. Group of Institutes, Solan, organized a Young Climate Champions (YCC) Session to raise awareness among students about environmental protection and climate change. The event aimed to educate students about their social and environmental responsibilities.
Rumit Walia, Manager – Youth Affairs, Earth Day Organisation, shared insights on climate change challenges and solutions, encouraging innovative ideas for environmental protection.
Ms. Shachi Singh, Managing Director, LLR Education Trust, emphasized environmental awareness among youth, stating, “Such sessions inspire students to understand climate change seriousness and take positive steps to protect nature.”
Students were introduced to the Young Climate Champions platform, presenting climate solutions under the Earth Care Awards initiative by The Times of India and JSW Group.
Dignitaries included Dr. P.P. Sharma, Dr. Avneet Gupta, Dr. Shweta Sandhu, and faculty members. The program inspired students to take an active role in environmental conservation.
