Kullu: Rajasthan Youth Arrested with 216 Grams of Charas in Manikaran

Kullu, October 8: In the religious tourism town of Manikaran, the police have arrested a youth from Rajasthan with a stash of charas.

According to information, last night, the police team from Manikaran Chowki, under Kullu Police Station, was on patrol near Grahan Road, close to Kasol. During their routine patrol, the police received a tip-off about a suspicious individual. Acting on this information, the police conducted a search operation.

During the search, the police team seized 216 grams of charas from the possession of the youth. Subsequently, the police arrested the individual based on the recovery of the narcotics.

The arrested individual has been identified as a 28-year-old, named Kanhaiya Lal Saini, hailing from Gandhi Chowk, Rajan Desar, in the Churu district of Rajasthan. The police have filed a case against the youth under Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

This incident highlights the vigilance of the local police in tackling drug-related issues in the area and maintaining law and order. The police will continue their efforts to keep the region safe and free from illegal activities.
