Kullu Agriculture Team Launches Field Drive to Control Fall Armyworm in Maize Crops
1 min read
Kullu, July 18: In response to the recurring infestation of the Fall Armyworm pest in maize crops, the Kullu Agriculture Department has mobilized a district diagnostic team to raise awareness and support farmers. The team, comprising officials and scientists from the Agriculture Department and Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bajaura, visited villages like Reri, Choyal, and Gadauri, where approximately 10% infestation was detected. Farmers were educated on pest symptoms—such as irregular holes in leaves and larval waste—and advised to spray recommended pesticides like Coragen, Delegate, and Missile. The department continues monitoring and outreach efforts across the region.
