Braveheart Naik Pushpendra Negi Laid to Rest; BJP Leaders Pay Tribute

Kinnaur, July 17: A wave of grief swept through the Sangla region of Kinnaur as the mortal remains of Naik Pushpendra Negi were consigned to flames with full military honors. The 29-year-old soldier from Thamegarang Panchayat, serving in the 19 Dogra Regiment, made the ultimate sacrifice in Assam after being fatally struck by tree branches during strong winds while on duty.

BJP leaders Karn Nanda, Surat Negi, Shishu Bhai Dharma, and Yashwant Negi attended the funeral to pay their heartfelt tributes. They also conveyed condolences on behalf of BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, State BJP Chief Dr. Rajeev Bindal, MPs Anurag Thakur, Suresh Kashyap, Rajeev Bhardwaj, Kangana Ranaut, Dr. Sikander Kumar, and Harsh Mahajan.

Naik Negi’s unwavering dedication to duty and love for the nation stand as an inspiration to all. His untimely demise is an irreparable loss to his family, his village, and the country. BJP leaders offered prayers for strength and solace to his grieving family—father Mahender Kumar, mother Sarla Devi, wife Kirti Negi, and their six-year-old son Aetik.

“Naik Pushpendra Negi’s sacrifice will always be remembered as a symbol of supreme patriotism,” said the BJP delegation in unison, paying their final respects.
