Education Minister Rohit Thakur said that Kharapathar-Mandhol Road would be widened to boost tourism and horticulture economy of the local residents.
Rohit Thakur today inaugurated Lok Bhawan constructed at a cost of Rs 40 lakh and panchayat Bhawan office worth 24 lakh in Mandhol Gram panchayat of Jubbal subdivision. Apart from this, he also laid the foundation stone of outdoor stadium in Mandhol being constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore 48 lakh.
In his address while presiding over the cricket tournament final, he stressed the importance of quality education and added that the present State Government would fill 5970 posts of teachers to strengthen government schools in far flung areas and provide quality education at the doorstep to the vulnerable sections of society in the state.
He also announced Rs 10 lakh for the Government Primary School building block at Mandhol and stated that priority would be given to construct Community Centres and libraries in respective gram panchayats in his Assembly constituency.
He also urged the youth to stay away from drug abuse and channelise their energies in constructive things while presiding over the cricket tournament final in which total 64 teams took part.
Rohit Thakur said that Jubbal Nawar Kotkhai will be made a role model constituency in the State in terms of development.
He thanked Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi for proactive policies for boosting the apple growers economy and making universal carton a reality to safeguard the interests of small and marginal farmers. Further, an all out effort was being made by the State Government to curb the debt trap and carry out development works, he added.
The minister also unveiled the souvenir Shan-e-Bushahr compiled by the yuvak mandal during the cricket tournament.
Earlier, local panchayat pradhan Chander Ranta welcomed the Minister and presented the demands of the area.
He also announced to give Rs 51000 to the organising committee and Rs 21000 to girls who gave cultural performance.
Rohit Thakur also offered floral tributes to Former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi during inauguration of Lok Bhawan building.
Among those present on the occasion included Jubbal Nawar Kotkhai Mandal Chief Motilal Derta, Zila Parishad member Kushal Mungta, BDC Vice President Yashwant Justa, SDM Rajeev Sankhyan, BDO Jubbal Karan Singh, party office bearers and local employees.
