“What Compels Congress to Stand with Kejriwal’s Corruption?” Asks Anurag Thakur

March 27, 2024, Jammu & Kashmir:

Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, and Youth Affairs and Sports, was on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir today. During his visit, Anurag Thakur participated in a bike rally organized in Udhampur and later attended an organizational meeting at the BJP office in Udhampur. In the evening, Anurag Thakur joined the ‘Developed India Ambassador’ program held at IIM Jammu and Radisson Blu Hotel.

Anurag Thakur, referring to the example of RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, said that at the time when Lalu Yadav was trapped in the fodder scam, his wife Rabri Devi used to make announcements on his behalf, and gradually she took over Lalu Yadav’s position. Now the same thing is happening in the case of Arvind Kejriwal. Those who used to talk about morality and sat on hunger strikes against corruption are now stuck in the mire of corruption. The Central Minister said that even while in jail, Arvind Kejriwal is not letting go of the Chief Minister’s chair, and he has broken all records of corruption. Anurag Thakur targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that despite being a woman Chief Minister, she has failed to provide protection to the women of her own state and has instead provided protection to corrupt and criminals.

Anurag Thakur further said, “Arvind Kejriwal used to say that I am against corruption, I will not come into politics. This is the same Arvind Kejriwal who used to demand the arrest of Sonia Gandhi and interrogation for two days. Today, Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party are neck-deep in corruption. His Deputy Chief Minister, Education Minister, Health Minister, MP, and councilors are all in jail. And now, the kingpin of the liquor scam, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself is in jail. His lawlessness and corruption have landed him in jail today.”

Targeting the Congress further, Anurag Thakur said, “Today, the question is also from the Congress, what compels them to stand with the corruption of the Aam Aadmi Party? Yesterday, Congress leaders were talking about presenting evidence of the liquor scam and filing a case. Where are those Congress leaders today? Today, they are talking about rallying in support of the same person who has shattered all records of corruption. Does Congress consider Arvind Kejriwal innocent? Modi ji has always said, ‘I will neither eat nor let others eat’. After the investigation by investigative agencies, the truth of these dishonest people will be exposed.”
