Kalka Shimla Railway: Revised Time Schedule for Two Trains and New Halts

The Kalka Shimla rail line has introduced changes to the schedule of the Himalayan Queen and Shivalik Express trains. Furthermore, the first morning train from Kalka and the last evening train from Shimla have also undergone modifications. The Railway Board has prepared a new timetable for these changes, effective from October 1st. The Railway Divisional Manager has been dispatched to oversee these schedule adjustments.

In response to passenger demand, two trains will now make additional halts. According to the Railway Board, both the Himalayan Queen and Shivalik Express trains will now halt at Dharampur and Solan railway stations. The Shivalik Express will depart from Kalka to Shimla at 5:45 AM, while the return journey from Shimla to Kalka will commence at 5:40 PM. Additionally, the Himalayan Queen will start its journey from Shimla at 7:00 AM and return from Shimla to Kalka at 3:50 PM.

Previously, both these trains shared the same halt at Barog. However, new halts have now been introduced at railway stations along the route. Moreover, the first train departing from Kalka to Shimla will now leave at 3:45 AM, as compared to its previous departure time of 3:30 AM. The last mail train from Shimla to Kalka will depart at 6:15 PM, instead of its earlier time of 6:45 PM.

Here are the revised time schedules for trains from Kalka to Shimla and Shimla to Kalka:

From Kalka to Shimla:
– First train: 3:45 AM
– Railmotor Car: 5:25 AM
– Shivalik Express: 5:45 AM
– Mail Express: 6:20 AM
– Himalayan Queen: 7:00 AM
– Himalayan Queen (afternoon): 12:10 PM
– Holiday Express: 1:05 PM

From Shimla to Kalka:
– Holiday Special: 9:30 AM
– Himalayan Queen: 10:30 AM
– Railmotor Car: 12:00 PM
– Kalka-Shimla Train: 2:15 PM
– Himalayan Express: 3:50 PM
– Shivalik Express: 5:40 PM
– Mail Express: 6:15 PM
