JUIT’s Synapse Club Organizes “INCIPERE” Event

Waknaghat, September 22, : The Synapse Club of the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at Jaypee University of Information and Technology, Waknaghat, hosted the “INCIPERE” event on September 21, 2023, as a warm welcome to the incoming freshers. The event kicked off with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a beautiful Saraswati Vandana, setting a spiritually uplifting tone.

Distinguished speeches were delivered by notable personalities including our Registrar, Major Gen. (Retd.) Rakesh Bassi, Dean (A&R) Prof. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Head of the Department BT/BI Prof. Sudhir Kumar, as well as Prof. Tiratha Raj Singh, Dr. Hemant Sood, and Dr. Saurabh Bansal, enlightening the audience with their insights.

The event then transitioned into an enchanting Bollywood dance performance by second-year girls, featuring popular 90’s hits that filled the air with nostalgia. Shashank and Kartikey graced the stage with their captivating singing, leaving the audience spellbound with their soulful voices and heartfelt songs. Dr. Hemant Sood, the club coordinator, shared her experiences with the club from previous years, encouraging all to seize every moment and warmly welcome the incoming freshers.

The audience was treated to a poetic delight presented by a first-year M.Sc. student, who shared tales of friendship that resonated with everyone. A skit, performed in observance of World Alzheimer’s Day, took a comical approach to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and how politics can sometimes distort crucial issues.

A mesmerizing group singing performance followed, holding the audience captive with its harmonious melodies. The energetic second-year girls graced the stage once more, this time with an enthusiastic Bhangra performance.

Prof. Tiratha Raj Singh enlightened the audience with insights into Alzheimer’s disease, shedding light on its biological conditions and complexities. Prof. Singh’s lab has been researching this disease for the past 13 years using various computational biology approaches.

The event concluded on a poetic note with Prof. Tirath Raj’s heartfelt speech and shayari, leaving smiles all around. In the end, Vipasha Sher, the club president, extended a vote of thanks to the organizers and club coordinators for their diligent efforts, ensuring the event’s resounding success.
