JUIT “National Unity Day” Celebrated

Solan, Nov 03 – “National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas has been celebrated at Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat. The day is observed with patriotic events to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel – the man who played an important role in the unification of India. He is popularly known as the “Iron Man of India”. Many Cadets of NCC including staff along with CTO Dr. Amit Jakhar participated in “Run for Unity” in the honor of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and also spread awareness about Patel’s contribution to Indian history. Some posters are designed to spread the message: Despite facing several hurdles, How Patel managed to integrate numerous regions largely without violence. All participants also pledge to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation.”
