JUIT : CyberShield – Cyber Awareness for Safer Tomorrow

The IEEE JUIT Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE R10 Education Activities, IEEE Delhi Section and Rotaract Club of Waknghat successfully organized CyberShield – A Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop on 23rd August, 2025 and 27th August, 2025 at Government Senior Secondary School, Domehar. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from school and university students, eager to understand the challenges and threats of the digital world. The sessions highlighted critical issues such as cyberbullying, online crimes, morphed images, and deepfakes, while also equipping students with preventive measures and safe online practices.
To make the learning process engaging, the topics were delivered through fun games, interactive activities, and quizzes, ensuring active involvement from participants. The program also extended its reach to underprivileged schools, where over 60 students were taught the basics of cybersecurity and provided with stationery kits as part of the outreach. Plans were also announced to offer scholarships to outperforming students in the future as resources expand.
The event was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback, leaving a lasting impact on students by strengthening their digital literacy and responsible internet usage. Beyond technical awareness, the initiative fostered a sense of community service and social responsibility, marking an important step in IEEE JUIT Student Branch’s mission to educate, empower, and inspire young learners.
