JP Nadda Greets Himachal on Statehood Day, Calls for Strong Democratic Participation

Shimla, Jan 25 2026: Former BJP National President and Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda extended warm greetings to the people of Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of the state’s Foundation Day, praising the hill state for its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, bravery and contribution to nation-building. He expressed hope that Himachal Pradesh continues on the path of progress and prosperity.

On National Voters’ Day, Nadda said that voting is not just a constitutional right but also a vital duty of every citizen. He urged people, especially first-time voters, to actively participate in the democratic process and strengthen the foundations of democracy. He also appreciated the efforts of the Election Commission and its staff in upholding democratic values across the country.

Speaking on the eve of Republic Day, Nadda described it as a celebration of India’s Constitution and democratic ideals. He highlighted that the theme of the 77th Republic Day is “150 Years of Vande Mataram”, which will be reflected in parades, tableaux and cultural programmes, with wide public participation from across the nation.
