Joint Research Development and Advisory Meeting Organised at Shoolini University
2 min readSolan, April 19 – Shoolini University organised a meeting of Joint Research Development and Advisory Committee (JRDAC) to discuss the research achievements of the university and to get the directions from the experts for the future growth.
The Meeting was organised online under the Chairmanship of Prof. R. C. Mahajan, Bose Professor and Emeritus Professor, PGI Chandigarh. The meeting was attended by the Chancellor Prof. PK Khosla, Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla, Registrar Dr. Sunil Puri and all the Deans of the faculties and a number of external experts from India and other countries like China, France, Japan, South Africa and USA.
External experts who attended the meeting included Dr. Narender Chirmule, CEO SymphonyTech Biologics USA, Prof. Mukesh Williams, Soka University Japan, Prof. Xiangkai Li, Lanzhou University, China, Prof. Bernard Paul, Dujon University, France, Dr. Gabriele Pintingolo, Pasture Institute, France, Prof. Shreekanth B Jonnalap, University of Kwazulu Natal, South Africa, Prof. Praveen Kumar, IIT Roorkee, Prof. S. K. Mehta, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Prof. Manpreet Kaur Kang, GGSIU, New Delhi and Prof. Tulasi Satyanarayana, Netaji Subhash University of Technology, New Delhi.
The welcome address was given by the Chancellor Prof. PK Khosla along with Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla and Chairman JRDAC. The JRDAC committee members were introduced by the member secretary. Member Secretary appraised the committee about the Shoolini University’s 11 years research journey and also told about the various research accomplishments of the University.
Deans of the various faculties presented the research agenda and acknowledged the advice from the various JRDAC Members. The external members appraised the University’s efforts in research and developments and promised to help the university in its research journey and would love to provide there help and guidance to all the Shoolini members.
The external experts advised the university to find new research partners amongst the institutions nearby and institutions across the globe who is also working on the similar lines. They also advised to make use of the large Undergraduate student force of the university and to structure the UG programs in such a way that the students can get practical research exposure from the very first year of their programmes. They also suggested the University to restructure some of their departments for better output. The members gave their feedback on the research activities going on in the University and were recorded by the deans for the future implementations.
This was the first time the JRDAC meeting was organised in the virtual mode because of the covid pandemic, but it has also provided the opportunity to expand the JRDAC internationally and have members from various countries to help the support the journey of Shoolini university to be amongst the top 200 global Universities by 2022.
