Hamirpur, July 16, 2025:
The state-level job fair scheduled for July 18 in Bassi (Bhoranj), Hamirpur, has been temporarily postponed due to alleged political interference, according to Asangathit Kamgar evam Karamchari Congress (KKC) State Chairman Rajeev Rana.
Rana claimed that the event, aimed at providing youth with direct employment opportunities through major companies, was halted under pressure from a local influential ruling party leader. He criticized the move as a violation of Congress party values and an insult to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s “Aatmanirbhar Yuva” vision.
Calling the act politically motivated and detrimental to youth welfare, Rana announced plans to raise the issue with the Chief Minister, state Congress leadership, and the party’s national high command.
