Jairam Thakur’s 61st Birthday Marked by Widespread Greetings Across Himachal

Shimla, Jan 06, 2026: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur received an overwhelming outpouring of love and greetings from across Himachal Pradesh on his 61st birthday. Thousands of supporters and well-wishers visited his official residence to convey personal wishes, while senior BJP leaders, former ministers and legislators, leaders from other political parties, Union ministers and chief ministers from other states also extended their greetings.

Special prayers were offered at temples and Shakti Peeths across the state for his good health and long life. Thakur began the day with prayers at the Jakhu Temple, seeking prosperity for the state. Cultural programmes featuring traditional folk songs and dances were also organised.

Expressing gratitude, Jairam Thakur said he was deeply moved by the affection and trust shown by the people, and reaffirmed his commitment to serve the state and the nation with dedication.
