1 min read

Mandi, March 11: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur called upon BJP workers to counter what he termed as “false propaganda” by the Congress while addressing the concluding session of a two-day workshop under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Mahabhiyan–2026 in Thunag.

Thakur said training programmes help strengthen the organisation and guide workers to effectively serve society while spreading the party’s ideology. He urged party workers to take the Central government’s welfare schemes to the grassroots and ensure that people are aware of the benefits of these initiatives.

Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Thakur said India’s global standing has strengthened significantly over the past decade and cited major decisions such as the abrogation of Article 370, the ban on triple talaq, and the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

He also criticized the state government, alleging that development works initiated during the previous BJP government were being stalled. Thakur further claimed that the Congress government was spreading confusion over issues such as Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) and MGNREGA, urging party workers to clarify facts among the public.
