Shimla, July 26 — Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur accused the Congress-led Himachal government of protecting and rewarding those allegedly involved in the suspicious death of HPPCL GM Vimal Negi. He said the Sukhu government reappointed the accused to key positions and made no effort to oppose their bail in court. Thakur also criticized the harassment of whistleblowers and officials who raised concerns over irregularities in the power department.
He questioned the integrity of a government that punishes those exposing corruption and rewards the accused. Thakur urged the CM to deliver justice to Vimal Negi’s family and restore faith in the system.
