Jairam Thakur Slams Slow Relief Work in Himachal, Seeks More Central Aid

Leader of Opposition and former CM Jairam Thakur criticized the Himachal Pradesh government for slow and inadequate relief efforts in disaster-hit areas. During his visit to Delhi, he met Union Ministers including Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, and Nirmala Sitharaman, urging enhanced financial aid. He claimed that the ₹5150 crore assistance from the Centre in 2023 hasn’t fully reached eligible victims.
He also expressed deep sorrow over the tragic bus accident in Sarkaghat and the passing of renowned agricultural scientist Dr. Rajendra Kumar Raju, calling both irreparable losses.
