Jairam Thakur Slams Law and Order Deterioration in Himachal

Shimla, February 20, 2025: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition, Jairam Thakur, has expressed deep concern over the worsening law and order situation in Himachal Pradesh. He stated that criminal activities, murders, and violent incidents have surged across the state.
Referring to a recent case in Una, he pointed out that 15 murders have been reported in the last one and a half months, including a brutal murder of a woman. He also condemned the incident in Baddi, where migrant youths allegedly set fire to a settlement, calling for strict action against such elements.
Jairam Thakur criticized the government for its failure to control crime, highlighting increasing cases of drug abuse, rape, and violence. He urged Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to take law and order seriously and act firmly against criminals.

Jairam Thakur extended his congratulations to Rekha Gupta, the new Chief Minister of Delhi, and her ministerial team, including Parvesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Sirsa, Ravindra Indraj, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Singh. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Delhi would achieve new heights of development.
