Jairam Thakur Slams Himachal Government Over Deteriorating Healthcare Services

He alleged that even Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in Shimla is unable to supply life-saving cancer medications, and patients requiring open-heart surgery are being sent back without treatment. Thakur criticized Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for making false claims about the state’s healthcare system, calling it a “model of lies.”
Thakur emphasized the critical need for timely cancer treatment and condemned the government for its negligence. He urged the Chief Minister to address the healthcare crisis, noting that the lack of essential medicines, doctors, and equipment is endangering lives. He also warned that the BJP will expose any false claims made by the government and will hold it accountable for the worsening healthcare scenario.
Thakur concluded by urging the government to prioritize healthcare over political rhetoric, stating that the loss of lives due to government negligence is unacceptable.
