Jairam Thakur Extends Wishes on Bihar Day

Solan, Mar 23: On the occasion of Bihar Day, Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur attended a get-together event held in Parwanoo, Nalagarh, and Baddi. He paid tribute to Bihar’s rich cultural heritage and historical contributions, recalling its connection with Mahatma Buddha, Emperor Ashoka, Chanakya, Guru Gobind Singh, Lord Mahavir, and Mata Sita.

Jairam Thakur emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Bihar has witnessed remarkable progress. The state received an unprecedented ₹3.7 lakh crore budget for 2024-25, which is 13 times the ₹23,885 crore allocation in 2005. Bihar has also seen the establishment of IITs, IIMs, and new medical colleges, while over 2,075 startups have been recognized under Startup India. Additionally, Bihar’s famous makhana (fox nuts) are now being exported to the US.

The event was attended by renowned actor and MP Manoj Tiwari, along with several senior BJP leaders and a large number of distinguished expatriates.
