Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has accused the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh of failing to fulfill any of its electoral promises over the last two years. In a statement, Thakur said that despite being in power for two years, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has not delivered on promises like providing employment to two lakh youths or the “Mahila Samman Nidhi” for women aged 18 to 60. Thakur also accused the Congress of using false promises in Haryana, similar to the tactics employed during the Himachal elections. He claimed that Congress’ guarantee forms, distributed during the election, were misleading and said that the people of Haryana would not fall for such tactics.
