Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur criticized the Sukhu government for alleged corruption in water supply schemes, highlighting a ₹1.25 crore scam in Theog, where water was purportedly transported using scooters and cars. He alleged government protection for Congress leaders and contractors involved in the fraud. Thakur called for strict action against all culprits and questioned the government’s transparency.
In a separate event, Thakur congratulated the newly elected BJP district presidents, including Nihal Chand Sharma (Mandi) and Heera Lal (Sundernagar), during the organizational elections. He expressed confidence in their leadership to strengthen the party and take it to new heights in the state.
